KORCE – Artists from Asia have opened the Sculpture Symposium in Korca. Curator of this activity known sculptor Genti Tavanxhiu claims that in the eighth year is the Asian edition. The special feature of this activity, according to him, is that this year for the first time in Albania’s history is being organized the first Symposium of Architecture in Korça. This activity has become architects and sculptors for a unique artistic product.
This activity has brought different artists, who with their works are welcomed by the public. This year’s new year, sculptures and architecture have brought together renowned artists coming from different parts of the world and the symposium has as curators the architect Jurtin Hajro and the sculptor Genti Tavanxhiu.
The last one in Korça has been evaluated this year.
Organized for several years by the Korça Municipality, this symposium has brought the town to date about 50 sculptures by artists from different European countries and the world. These sculptures are located in the city park.
This symposium, which for years has developed in the city of Korca with works of art, has brought a lot of curiosity to the citizens, who look at the works of artists in the park. But according to curator Genti Tavanxhiu, hope is to create a museum according to the standards of the time.
The first symposium, joining architects and sculptors for a unique artistic product, will take place until July 22nd. The activity was supported by the Municipality of Korca, the Ministry of Culture and the Dutch Embassy in our country.
