The first work of the Albanian iconographer Joan Çetiri or Joan Katro, dated on March 25th, 1792. It belongs to the family of the fresco and icon painters who have worked mainly in Myzeqe and in the middle Albania originating from Grabova of Elbasan. Together with his brother, George, have painted the church of St. Demetrius in Mezhan of Myzeqe, the walls of St. Nicholas church in Vanaj of Fier, the icons of the cathedral in Berat Castle. His paintings are known for the popular spirit, the provincial character of clothing with ornaments inspired by areas in Myzeqe. All the churches that are decorated by John were announced cultural monuments, because maintain great spiritual and artistic values.
