On September 25th 1862, was born the painter, architect and scenograph Shadan Toptani in Kostandinopja. He was graduated in Academy of Fine Arts in Milano of Italy, for architecture and scenography. After the liberation, he opened two personal exhibits in Zagreb of Yugoslavia and Plovdiv of Bulgaria. During the years he worked in the Post Telegraph Telecommunication he conducted 15 editions of stamps with 31 drawings and participated in some philately exhibitions outside the country. His bigger productivity is in the Opera and Ballet Theatre as a scenograph of many operas and ballets. In 19567, after his retirement Shadan Toptani designed many cultural houses in some cities of our country.
