The Prizren League delegates in Pristina demanded on May 7th, 1879, that Albanians in Kosovo’s vilayet should administer the courts themselves. In response, the Ottoman government allowed the creation of parallel courts: Turkish and Albanian. The request was repeated in Gjakova, Peja, and it even advanced, demanding the closure of Turkish courts.
