In Istanbul on July 14, 1925, he died poisoned by Serbian agents Mehmet Konjuhi, a warrior and military leader of the national liberation movement in Kosovo. It was especially evident in the events of 1918-1925, when he led the Vushtreti and Llapi rapids and participated in the fighting they developed against the invading Serbian forces. He undertook some military actions in co-operation with Azem Galica and Bajonovci brothers.
