As a result of the talks that began on May 10, 1914, between the so-called Northern Epirus government, formed by Jorgji Zografi and Himara autonomy, led by Spiro Spiromilo, on the one hand and the delegation sent by Vilhelm Vidi, was signed “The Corfu Protocol”, which practically disassociates the South of Albania from the trunk of the mutilated Albanian state. This sparked a wave of protests across the country and especially in Korça and Durres.
