As the “Epopee of Vlora” was held in Albania, to blow up the Italian invaders, in Trieste, Italy, on June 12, 1920, a protest manifestation of workers and Italian soldiers broke out, to force the government of Rome to End the bloodshed in Vlora and attract invading troops from Albania. Such events took place also on other Italian scaffolds in the Adriatic, like in Ancona, Bari, Brindisi, etc. In some ports, posters of the Italian Socialist Party were scattered, asking the soldiers and officers not to go to the Albanian front.
