The Diploma of Venice, by which is given to Karl Topia the rights of Venice citizens, dated on April 15th, 1366. In this diploma is stated that the honourable and noble Karl Topia, the god of Albania with all his sons and his heirs, enjoy forever, “every freedom, benefit, honor and immunity that enjoy and utilize … other citizens of Venice.”
