The great French writer Jean-Paul Sartre died on April 15th, 1980. The first translations from his creations were made in Kosovo. To us, he became famous only after 1992, when he published “The Prostitute worthy of respect”, “Herostrati”, “The Wall”, the drama “With closed door”, etc. His dramatic works are shown to the scene of Tirana and in other Albanian cities. Also on the motives of his writings, was composed an opera that was performed on the stage of the Opera and Ballet Theatre in Tirana.
