In Progonat on March 17th, 1916 was born Asim Zeneli, military, fighter, antifascist, Hero of the Nation. He studied at the Military Academy of Infantry in Rome and since on its auditors he joined the anti-fascist resistance. He continued the Antifascist activity even after returning homeland. In April 1943, he joined the partisan forces and fought heroically against the foreign invaders. He was commissar of partisan çeta, “Hajredin Tremishti” and died heroically in the battle of Mezhgorani that is one of the events of the National Liberation War, of our nation.
