The distinguished writer and songwriter Frano Ndoja was born on July 20, 1867. He was a tailor but worked as a music teacher. His artistic activity is related to the spiritual orchestra, which was set up in 1898 and he directed it from the beginning to the end of life. In 1922, he set up and directed the first spiritual orchestra of the Albanian army. As a composer, Fran Ndoja, is the author of some songs known as “The Song of the Constitution”, etc. Special merit is in the elaboration and commitment of the spiritual orchestra, of many folk songs of Shkodra. His pencil and orchestral sketches “Beginning of the party”, “Gjama e Tomorrit” etc.
