The writer and journalist Odhise Grillo, was born on March 21st, 1933. He took the first lessons in Vuno. Then he continued the education in the capital. He graduated in Albanian language and literature at the University of Tirana. Four decades of his life, he has worked as an editor in the magazine “Hosteni” and in the publishing house “Naim Frashëri”. Hi has published his first writings in 1947. His name also is found in the newspapers “Pioneri”, “Zëri i rinisë”, “Drita”, Nëntori” and other notebooks of the time. He is the author of more than 70 books of all genders. These are published in Tirana, Pristina, Skopje, Tetovo, Mitrovica, but also in Damascus and Athens. A half-century the writer, collaborated with newspapers and magazines for children in Albania, Kosovo and Macedonia, he wrote and published for toddlers many textbooks. Many generations of writers and professors remember their professor and his interesting lectures on children’s literature that has kept to the auditors of the University of Tirana and Elbasan. Odhise Grillo was a member of the Writers and Artists League and Chairman of the National wide Association of Writers for Children.
