21 March 1953, is a marked date of the Albanian scene. That day, for the first time, the Albanian professional artists performed one of the most popular tragedies of Shakespeare’s “Othello”. The premiere was a real artistic triumph. During this show were distinguished and applauded for their enthusiast performance, Loro Kovaci, Sander Prosi, Liza Vorfi, Kadri Roshi, etc. “Othello”, has been in the active repertoire of the National Theatre for eleven years.
