Spio Çipi, one of the founders of the legal medicine was born on 21st September 1909 in Korça. He was graduated in the University of Sorbonne in Paris, for medicine and justice. He was appointed like a coroner in the hospital of Tirana in his country, where he laid the foundations of the legal medicine. After the liberation, he has worked like a doctor in Berat, Fier, Korça, and then like a military doctor. After a specialization in Moscow, he was returned again to the legal medicine problems, and has worked in the Central Laboratory of Criminology and like an external lecturer for the legal medicine in the University of Medicine.
