The Venetian Senate, gathered on September 27th 1938, after reviewing the decision of the Dukagjini’s nobles for the submission of the castle of Lezha, under the rule of the Republic of Saint Mark, decided that from the income of Lezhs, 2/3 to go for the Republic and only 1/3 for Dukagjin. The Senate also decided for the reconstruction of Lezha castle.
