29 October 1914, “Sanitary mission” of the Italians prepared the occupation of Vlora

On October 29^th, 1914 the Italian government sent in Vlora the “sanitary mission”, preliminary to supervise and prepared the military occupation of the ancient city and its surroundings. Military action began with the occupation of Sazan Island.
