From the letter of the vice-consul from Venedik in Shkodra, Jak Suma, dated on May 5th, 1786, to the Trade Office of the Republic, results, that even though the Sultan had forgiven and rehabilitated Mahmut Pasha Bushatlliu, he had prepared the cavalry and infantry for war, also he had announced Montenegro, if necessary, to be ready to provide the necessary assistance against the Ottomans.
