Fan Noli
In the village of Edrine, inhabited by Albanians, on January 6th, 1882 was born one of our leading personality of our national culture, Fan Stilian Noli. Since he was young he became a prominent thinker and activist of the Renaissance. There are no areas of our lives where Fan Noli hasn’t left his mark. Noli has been the first and unachievable in religion and in faith, in literature and in translation, on music and politics, in criticism and oratory. Even though he spent most of his life in exile, away from home, no one did more than he did to Albania; no one gave more than he to our culture and tradition of Arbëria. The inheritance he left to generations cannot be measured by money.
