For the first time, at Zogu I Hospital in Tirana on May 6th, 1937, was inaugurated the maternity pavilion. The initiator was “The Society for the Protection of the Baby” and the “Albanian Woman”. On this occasion, Dr. Qemal Jusufati, General Director of Health, who was in the role of minister, because at that time there was no Ministry of Health.
