In Elbasan, on March 8th, 1902, was born Et’hem Haxhiademi, the most prominent playwright of the period of independence, equipped with a wide culture at the Universities of Italy, Austria and Germany, possessor of several foreign languages, he besides the higher duties as civil servant, has left and 7 tragedies, two volumes of poetry and a translation from Latin of “Bukolikëve” of Vergil.
