9 January 1997, the Assembly of Kosovo established Jusuf Gërvalla prize in journalism

On January 9^th, 1997, he InformationCommission of the Assembly of Kosovo decided the establishment of the price “Jusuf Gërvalla” awarded to the information institutions and prominent journalists. The price in the form of gold medallion is annually awarded on January 17^th.
