The Battle of Përlepi, between the Ottoman forces and the forces of Mustafa Pasha Bushatlli, which took place on April 9th, 1831, marks the beginning of Shkodra Patriarchy pressure. The Albanians were defeated in the battle, which took place in Tikves and in Babun.
