On January 22nd, 1788 was born the author “Childe Harold” George Gordon Noel Byron, a great friend of Albania, who sang with such sympathy to the manly Albanian customs. This roman is reprinted 5 times in Tirana and Pristine. Byron was particularly impressed by the reception that Ali Pasha made to him.
