In the hall of the Municipality of Tirana, on March 31st, 1939 was opened “The Week of the Albanian women “. After the common ceremonies, was improvised ‘Vatra Shqiptare “, where the women from all over country sewed and embroidered, hatch sweater and socks, so they reflected the daily work, the continuation of the tradition from our mothers and sisters which serve with their work the family and the economy of the country. Also, were exposed various handicrafts that reflected the centuries-old Albanian tradition. This was the second year that was organized “The Week of the Albanian women.” Such activities were held in all the cities of Albania.
