In the Lyric Theater in Bucharest, on the initiative of Albert Gjika, on April 23rd, 1905, was convened a congress, attended by representatives of Albanian exile colonies and peoples that came from Albania. The Congress decided that, for the direction of the Albanian independence movement to create a standing committee, which was called “Kombi” which would organize and lead the armed uprising.
