In Dibra, near Ornik, on May 24th, 1456, was held the battle between the Ottoman armies and Albanian wizards led by Skanderbeg. Albanian forces surrounded their enemies on an iron ring. Most of the Ottomans remained on the battlefield and only a small number of them could escape.
