4500 highland Gjakovë / Djakovica, on September 5, 1878, attacked Abdulla Pasha Dren’s tower. The Sultan’s envoy, Mehmet Ali Pasha Maxhari, who was demanding from the Albanian League of Prizren, the surrender of Plav and Gucci, Montenegro, was closed with his forces. Long and bloody fighting took place. Among the slain there was the High Gate’s messenger and the master of the tower.
