The 36th edition of the Albanian Language, Literature and Culture seminar has hosted university representatives, alumni and students from different parts of the world at the University of Prishtina. The first day is focused on the new moment, the interest of young generations of the Albanian diaspora to learn or improve the Albanian language, even though it results with no capacity to view this request

The Albanian Diaspora is today at a new moment, related to the interest of generations of Albanian diaspora originating from Kosovo and Albania to learn or improve their Albanian. Due to lack of capacities, linguists and scholars have expressed concern about the Albanian culture, focusing on their discussion on the first day of the seminar at the 36th Seminar on Albanian Language, Literature and Culture that started Yesterday at the University of Prishtina. As every year, university students, Albanians and students from different countries of the world gather in two weeks who will learn Albanian through intensive courses. The director of the seminar, Rrahman Paçarizi, said that this year have recorded a record number of requests for participation in the Albanian language courses.

According to him, the new moment is the interest of the second and third generation of Albanian diaspora originating from Kosovo and Albania to learn or improve their Albanian, and it is said that unfortunately there are no capacities enough for the ‘ These requirements were met. “Today we are in completely new circumstances of globalization, there are many ways of getting acquainted with Albanian language, literature and culture. Normally these circumstances had the importance of the seminar, but it did not happen that way. This year I have experienced a record number of requests for participation in Albanian language courses. The minister in charge of Education, Science and Technology, Arsim Bajrami said that they will try together with the Republic of Albania to create a special budget line for the seminar, thus transforming them into state events. “This seminar has been going through very important stages of Kosovo’s development, making a significant contribution to the study of Albanian language and culture by gathering Albanologists from all over the world and transforming into an important scientific, research forum and Researcher, and obviously this event being held in August also presents important scientific and cultural events, because it has gathered Albanologists from all over the world, “he said.

Lindita Rugova, Dean of the Faculty of Philology, emphasized that this faculty, as the largest organizer of this seminar, will continue to breathe with its most qualitative and internationally proven product. “Forty-three years after the organization of the first International Albanology Seminar in Pristina, the Faculty of Philology as the organizer of this great scientific and cultural activity of Albanology will continue to breathe with its most qualitative and internationally proven product . The annual participants of scientific and cultural activity will continue to make comparisons of the quality of the sessions, lectures and activities of the various seminar editions. They will analyze the presentations and unravel the sayings and without the sayings of this seminar, “said Rugova. Otherwise, the works of this seminar will be held from August 25 to August, while they will be held throughout three sessions, that of language, literature and culture. The International Seminar on Albanian Language, Literature and Culture was established in 1974 at the Faculty of Philology (then: Faculty of Philosophy) of the University of Prishtina. This seminar is organized for students and scholars dealing with problems of Albanian language, literature and culture, but also with albanology in general. The seminar has held a total of thirty-five sessions. In 1991 his activity was abolished by Serbian violent bodies. In 1995 and 1996 the sessions of this Seminar were held in Tirana in cooperation with the Institute of Linguistics and Literature of the Academy of Sciences of Albania. Since 2000 the seminar is held again in Pristina. Sessions 19 and 20 (2000-2001) were organized in cooperation with the Institute of Linguistics and Literature of the Albanian Academy of Sciences.
