Mark Stembridge is praised as a hero by the British press after terror on the “London Bridge” and at the Borough Market.
The owner of a bar-restaurant in this neighborhood of the English capital managed to save 130 people from the hysteria of the aggressors on the streets, sheltering them in his cafeteria.
Stembridge clarifies that its staff, half of whom are ex-soldiers from Albania, have pulled people inside the barracks, while armed people have been run towards the facility. Stembridge lays his 3 Albanian employers the credit for the fact that the situation did not go worse.

We made sure everyone was out of danger. There were 3 armed men out there who came crying out, but reluctant to act when they saw that we were somehow organized and changed direction. They went down the bridge going to another shepherd, “says the landlord.
Stembridge also addressed an appeal to authorities that bar and restaurant owners train more for such situations, and also thinks that in the climate, the police presence must be greater.
