Today is commemorated the death anniversary of the writer and cleric Pjeter Budi, whose name we can find in the foreign encyclopaedias. In the first volume of the “Russian short literary Encyclopaedia”, he is the author of the books with religious content “Christian Doctrine “, published in 1618, “Reflection of confession”, published in 1621 and “Roman Ritual”, published in 1621, in which are given information on customs, social and political situation in the country. Budi considered necessary the unification of the Albanian people regardless of religion. He used the Latin alphabet with three Cyrillic letters; this alphabet was used in the northern Albania until the second half of the 19th century.
