On March 22nd, 1910 in Labova with the help of the club “Drita” of Gjirokastra was established the first Albanian school. The first teachers were Vasil Konomi and Mane Panajot Meksi. In the autumn the school was closed by the Ottomans and its initiators were persecuted and exiled to Iraq.
