The first Albanian sculptor, Kristina Hoshi, was born in Kavaja on June 4, 1915. She was passionate about music and drawing. The enrollment at the Rome Artistic Lycée ultimately determined her way of life. He returned to the Homeland with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree professorship and was appointed drawing teacher at the Femnor Institute of Tirana. Meanwhile, she won the competition to attend the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome. At Homeland, she becomes familiar with the sculpture, “Fidani”, which she presented at the 1951 exhibition, where she also won the first prize. Later, many other works came, but one of his masterpieces remains the bust, “Doctor Shiroka.” In 1951, Kristina Hoshi, was appointed lecturer at the Jordan Misja Artistic Lycée, and thus opens a wide field of activity for the artist. She prepares generations of sculptors as well as lecturers at the Higher Institute of Arts.
