Just two years after the country’s liberation from Nazi occupation, on December 1st, 1946 in Tirana was established the Biannual Pedagogical Institute, that later was called the Pedagogical Institute “Aleksandër Xhuvani”. It marks the first step towards the establishment of the higher education in our country, the long-standing dream of our great personalities of Renaissance .
