In Thessaloniki on June 1st, 1913, was signed the Greco-Serbian Treaty, one of the hallmarks of the diplomatic preparation of the Second Balkan War. It aimed at the weakening and fragmentation of Bulgaria, Macedonia and Albania and the creation of Greater Greece and Serbia.
