The National Identity and Diaspora Exhibition
At the National Library is opened from 17 to 29 November, the exhibition “The National Identity and Diaspora”. The first immigrants were those who went to Greece, Italy, Egypt and Romania, and by the end of XVIII century in the United States, Argentina, Australia, etc. Their contribution was mainly in the development of education in the Albanian language and culture development. Albanians were organized in patriotic clubs who intended the education and cultural illumination of their brothers in Albania. They contributed to the opening of Albanian schools, publication of books, periodicals, etc. In the exhibition were displayed photographs, publications and documents of migrated Albanians by the end of XVIII century and after.
